Replace The Moon

When we are not busy devising ways to replace the moon, we design high-quality, fashion-forward clothing that uses humor and satire to inject levity into everyday life.

Replace The Moon sits between streetwear and satire. The references are intentional. The humor is dry. The designs are not asking for approval.

Our goods use durable materials and deliberately novel graphics across a range of colors and forms. This is not merch and it is not irony for ironyโ€™s sake. It is clothing built from cultural overanalysis, bad data, and unnecessary certainty.

Some pieces speak loudly. Others barely register (e.g., Waning Gibbous is a judgmental phase).

If it feels pointless, youโ€™re paying attention. If you are trying to make sense of it, youโ€™re trying too hard.

With all the division in our world today, we are trying to bring unity around the common goal of replacing the moonโ€ฆthe moon has had its day.

The Foundersโ€ฆ

What began as a simple question (โ€œhow do we feel about moon phases?โ€) turned into a search for evidence to confirm our hypothesis. The evidence appeared quickly and without invitation. Stories aligned. Patterns repeated. The moon did not deny its involvement. And as a result, the Eternal Eclipse Initiative and this brand came to life.

As we moved closer to certainty, it became clear the moon was not to be trifled with. Major appliances failed across three states on the same weekend. The Midwest. New England. The Mid Atlantic. All during a Waning Gibbous.

Coincidence? Serendipity? Noโ€ฆmaybe, but still, no.
Bias? Also no.

The conclusion was unavoidable. The moon is a menace. It exerts influence without accountability and doles out consequence without explanation.

We believe in an unmooned society. One where people live free from lunar phases and their celestial indifference.

Thanks for your support of the Eternal Eclipse Initiative.
